These terms govern your use of the Float Payments website (the Site), operated by Float Payments Pty Ltd (ACN 676 488 243) (Float, we, us, our). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About us
Float Payments Pty Ltd holds Australian Credit Licence 561664. We provide unsecured personal loans under three products: Float Bridge, Float Forward and Float Ascend. Details of each product, including amounts, terms, fees and interest rates, are on our Loans and Rates & fees pages.
2. Not financial advice
Nothing on the Site is financial advice, credit advice, or a recommendation. The information we provide is general only and does not take into account your personal circumstances. Before applying for a loan, consider whether it is appropriate for you.
3. Indicative figures
Calculators, worked examples and comparison rates on the Site are for illustration only. They are estimates based on the inputs provided and may not reflect the cost of any particular loan. The actual cost will depend on your circumstances and will be set out in your credit contract.
4. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data;
- use the Site to transmit malicious code;
- scrape or harvest data other than as permitted; or
- use the Site in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content on the Site (including text, graphics, logos, and the Float Payments name and branding) is owned by or licensed to Float and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce, adapt or distribute any content without our permission.
6. Accuracy and availability
We try to keep the Site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, complete, current, or available at all times.
7. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, financial counselling and government resources). We provide those links for convenience and do not control or endorse those sites, and we are not responsible for their content.
8. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited by law, it is limited to re-supplying the relevant information or service, or paying the cost of having it re-supplied (at our option). To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be available on the Site, and the effective date above shows when it was last updated. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
